XO Collesi is a very high quality Italian Brandy, entirely distilled from Verdicchio wine in a discontinuous steam bain-marie alembic still. The trump card of this product is undoubtedly its long artisanal manufacturing process: 13 years of aging in Limousin oak barrels, where Rosso Conero wine has passed for at least 2 years. For these reasons, we recommend tasting the Collesi Brandy in large glasses, possibly smooth, in fact the ice would alter its characteristics.
A precious grappa obtained from fresh pomace of red Sangiovese grapes. Characterized by the typical small fruit, this grape is the same used for a high quality wine such as Brunello di Montalcino. The bain-marie distillation method keeps the rich aromas of an unforgettable grappa intact.
Chardonnay does not like extreme heat and definitely benefits from the cooler temperatures of the Hemel en Aarde valley. Yields were significantly down in 2018 but this resulted in a very expressive wine. Slightly richer in color and texture than the unoaked chardonnay, this wine offers a depth and richness on the palate which is superbly balanced by the minerality of the fruit and 100% natural acidity. Delightful pale-straw color with a hint of lime-citrus, butter-scotch mid-palate gives way to a fresh, flinty and bone-dry finish. Clean and refreshing.
