Grappa “180” Reserve 10 years – wooden box

This is the result of the distillation of fresh red grape pomaces from the Cabernet, Merlot, Raboso and Barbera varietals that were grown on the Venetian hills in 2006. They were distilled as dictated by tradition, following a low-pressure, low-temperature method featuring a copper pot still and four boilers. This is one of the oldest distillation systems in operation in Italy to date.

After having been stored in inert tanks for two years – during which the grappa lost its aggressive bite – the batch was transferred to our sealed warehouse to age in two 350-liter Allier oak barrels, respectively on Mar. 13, 2009 (barrel no. 18) and on July 15, 2009 (barrel no. 10), for a total of 516 liters.

Ten years later, our grappa has developed into a one-of-a-kind product.

Its bright primary aromas finely blended in with all the spiced notes of the oak, thus creating a harmonious bouquet and a new balance of perceived flavors. Our intense and enveloping Riserva 180 smells of exotic fruits and spices. It will fill your palate with warmth and its taste will linger on. Notes of licorice, tobacco, cinnamon and honey enhance the aftertaste of this unmatchable grappa, once again highlighting the extraordinary qualities of a product that we are proud to celebrate our 180^th business anniversary with.
